The other day a news alert,
Flashed on the T.V. screen.
I waited with bated breath,
To see what it could mean.
The president made a speech about the $700 billion bailout,
Which was to be paid.
And if I could paraphrase, “We owe you a kiss,
Because you’ve just been laid.”
I’d listened to the tune of,
“Here he comes to save the day”.
That means that,
McCain is on the way.
As he flew to get things right,
And let the people know he’s ready for a fight.
Yes he’s a hero,
Hannity swears it’s true.
What I want to know,
Is just what did he do?
What I want to know,
Is how do we nationalize?
The new oil wells we are digging,
And let the government supervise.
The profit made from oil sales,
To wipe out our national debt.
Instead of making CEO’s,
Billionaires that haven’t made it yet.
They will say that’s not America’s way,
Capitalism must rule.
I say lets get rid of our countries debts,
So maybe I’m the fool.

- I was 79 years old the 11th of March, 2008. At the present time I am home bound due to leg problems caused by my diabetes. I'm alumni of San Jacinto College in Texas. I started my travels with a hitch in the navy at the age of 17. I am a veteran of World War II, where I spent time in Shanghi and Tsing Tao. I followed construction as a pipe fitter all over the US and later to Isfahan, Iran with my second and current wife, son and daughter. Our travels to Turkey, Italy, Spain, England, Mexico and Canada. I started as a an apprenticed and worked up to assistant Superintendent. I taught industrial blueprint reading and math, pipe fitting and pipe bending at college level. My wife and I have been married 46 years. I have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. In 2007, I started to write poetry, my current interest is political poetry, some very serious and some with a little sarchastic bent. Through the years I have found humor and sarchasm in particular to be a great ice breaker when meeting new people.

Be afraid be very afraid, remember after 911, they got the patriot act through without anyone in congress reading it, they made America afraid again about weapons of mass distraction.....distruction and we invaded Iraq, now they want to shove this bailout of the the same people that destroyed our economy through Congress instead of dealing with the real problem, mortgages. They should force all banks to put a freeze on foreclosures and renegotiate loans so people can stay in their homes and still make payments to the bank, smaller payments are better than none, that would put more money into the economy and in the banks hands. Also, Michael Moore has pointed out that the top 400 richest people in America own 1.7 trillion dollars worth of America and 700 billion they earned in the Bush years during with their tax cuts and tax loop holes, why not take back what they stole and put it into building infrastructure in America which would create jobs too.
