The art of illusion a magician possesses,
All the scholars say.
Is the ability to distract the people’s attention,
While he performs his trickery, in an unseen way.
Today the greatest illusionist,
That now bring this practice into play.
Are the TV commentators,
We watch on the screens each day.
“Lipstick on a pig”, a catchy phrase,
Takes your thoughts away.
From the fact this country slides,
Further into debt each day.
Healthcare, energy, education, and jobs,
Are on a downward descent.
While the public listens to,
What the speaker really meant.
You say we need to drill,
To end the oil shortage please.
Tell me why in the hell,
Are we shipping our oil and gas overseas?
Ladies don’t forget you can buy underwear,
With Palin’s name to show real class.
Along with boxers, teddies, and thongs,
In with which to cover your ass

- I was 79 years old the 11th of March, 2008. At the present time I am home bound due to leg problems caused by my diabetes. I'm alumni of San Jacinto College in Texas. I started my travels with a hitch in the navy at the age of 17. I am a veteran of World War II, where I spent time in Shanghi and Tsing Tao. I followed construction as a pipe fitter all over the US and later to Isfahan, Iran with my second and current wife, son and daughter. Our travels to Turkey, Italy, Spain, England, Mexico and Canada. I started as a an apprenticed and worked up to assistant Superintendent. I taught industrial blueprint reading and math, pipe fitting and pipe bending at college level. My wife and I have been married 46 years. I have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. In 2007, I started to write poetry, my current interest is political poetry, some very serious and some with a little sarchastic bent. Through the years I have found humor and sarchasm in particular to be a great ice breaker when meeting new people.

I am afraid of this country not seeing through the obvious about Palin. She is a blank slate for the NeoCons to create the newer more dangerous version of Bush. McCain, you should be worried, the NeoCons are probably planning for her to be president right away if you get into the White House, watch your back.
